We publish a diverse range of outputs in our journal including but not limited to:

  • Audio interviews/group discussions

  • Short and long format videos

  • Opinion essays

  • Academic papers

  • Artwork

  • Poems

  • Observation write-ups

languages:

Submissions in any language are accepted and submissions in local languages are encouraged. Translations are not required but recommended to increase accessibility.

topics:

Submissions can be on topics from any area of the natural or human sciences. Topic examples include (but are not limited to):

  • Daily life in and around primate field sites

  • Observations on any species living in or near primate field sites

  • Thoughts on conservation initiatives or threats to the forest

  • Changing weather patterns/climate change

  • Botanical findings

Submission Requirements:

Step 1:

A short abstract (summary) detailing the idea behind the submission. This can be submitted over Whatsapp voice memo, photograph of handwritten proposal, or typed document emailed to:

 Step 2:

After abstract has been received, we will then send instructions on how to submit the finished piece.

 Optional Peer Workshop:

All contributors to the Perspectives Collective Journal will be given a choice of whether or not they would like to receive feedback from a peer supporter. If the contributor would like to include a literature review, they will also be given the option of connecting with an access liaison who can help them access papers or academic research that is kept behind a pay-wall.
